Welcome to Vicky Lynn Institute. My name's Cole and I decided to homeschool my kids a few years ago. My journey through trying to homeschool changed my perspective on the pursuit of knowledge. I was inspired to create something more for my kids and to share it with others. I decided to create this school built on the following ideas.                                
	There's no age limit to learning. I'm 43 years old and still learning. I study and research each topic before making a class lesson. There's also no grade levels here. Instead things are sorted by topic and it's up to the student and maybe their parents what the student wants or needs to learn about. 
	I won't grade or score assignments or projects. It's up to the student and maybe their parents to determine if the student understands a lesson enough to move on.
	Memorization can be helpful in learning but understanding is more important. I try to blend both but I focus more on trying to help the student understand the lesson.
	We're all special and unique individuals. We have different interests so I offer more special interest classes than general education classes. I want to help the student be the best version of themselves not the best version of everyone else.
	We also all learn more efficiently in our own way so I try to show, tell, and involve as much as possible. This way the student can choose what works best for them.
	I hope this school is extremely helpful but I don't want to be anyone's sole source of information. I share other sources in each class to offer more help.
